The Story Behind the Afghan Women’s XI Logo

This logo isn’t just a design — it’s a statement.

When we created the Afghan Women’s XI logo, the goal was simple: represent identity and connection. Something that reflects the resilience of Afghan women, their love of the game, and their new chapter in Australia.

At the centre is a cricket ball — not just because it’s the game we play, but because it stands for focus, strength, and determination.

On either side, we chose two flowers.
🌷 The red tulip, Afghanistan’s national flower, symbolises courage and sacrifice — qualities that run deep in the team’s story.
💛 The golden wattle, Australia’s national flower, stands for resilience and belonging — a nod to the country that has become home.

Instead of using flags, we used flowers — a subtle but powerful way to honour both countries and everything they represent.

The leaves and buds speak to growth and new beginnings. Because that’s what this team is doing — building something meaningful, one game at a time.

This logo is about more than cricket. It’s about identity, belonging, and showing up — fully and proudly — both on and off the field.
